Ijeoma and Nnenna were friends and also room mates in the University. They loved each other so much that they share things in common. Ijeoma is a trouble maker but Nneoma loved to maintain peace.
After a while, they started having a challenge in their relationship. Ijeoma accused Nneoma of not loving her as much as she do. It started from the day that Ijeoma was fighting with someone. She expected that Nneoma would join her to fight the person but Nneoma was trying to make peace.
After the fight, Ijeoma kept malice with Nneoma. It took the intervention of neighbours to settle the matter and they continued living in peace.
Afterwards, Ijeoma went to make her hair. The hair dresser told her the amount for the hair and she agreed to pay. After making the hair, she refused to pay, claiming that the hair dresser didn’t get the style she wanted. People around persuaded her to pay, not knowing that she didn’t even have the money.
The hair dresser had to seize her phone and threatened not to return the phone until she gets her money. Ijeoma knew that couldn’t match the woman in fight, she went home to call Nneoma. She told Nneoma that after paying the money that was charged her for the hair, the woman demanded for another money and seized her phone.
When they got to the hair dressers shop, Ijeoma rushed to hold the woman and started a fight. Nneoma had no choice than to join in beating the woman. Afterwards, they collected Ijeoma’s phone and left without paying the money for the hair.
After their graduation, A young man named Ken met Nneoma and fell in love with her. As the relationship progresses, he decide to take Nneoma to meet her mother. Nneoma was surprised when the young man took her to the shop where the hair dresser works. That was when she knew that the hair dresser was his mother.
The woman kept looking at Nneoma’s face and murmuring that she knew her somewhere. All of sudden, she shouted.
“Yes, I remember now. You came with your friend to beat me here even when I did not do anything to you,” the woman accused Nneoma.
Nneoma was shaking and couldn’t utter any word.
“Mummy please stop. She is not the person you think that she is. Nneoma cannot hurt a fly,” Ken tried to defend her.
“Ken allow her to talk for herself. I made a lady’s hair and she refused to pay me. When I insisted on collecting my money, she went and brought this lady. They attacked me and inflicted wounds on my body. Afterwards, I cursed them that it would never be well with them.”
“Nneoma stop keeping quiet. Please defend yourself and our relationship. Have you met my mummy?” Ken asked.
Nneoma kept mute.
“Ken listen to me. It is this handwork that I used to train you to become whatever you are today. It was because I was suffering to put food on the table that this young lady and her friend disgraced me. If you are truly the son of your mother, send this lady away. She cannot be my daughter in-law.”
That was how the relationship ended.
The command that we should follow peace with all men is valid till tomorrow. Our fight should be more of spiritual than physical.
Every fight is not your fight. Your destiny is different, your journey is different. Your friends fight may not be your fight.Watch and pray, so that you don’t mistakenly fight your destiny helper. May we not be led into temptation.
