I had an Hausa customer that I normally buy something from. He is a security personnel in a compound, but he also has small kiosk where he sell things. He sell different kinds of lollipops , biscuits and eatables that children love. So whenever we are passing that way, my children always want us to patronize him.
One day I wanted to buy something from him, I was hearing his voice but I didn’t see him. I looked in very well and saw him holding mirror and talking to the mirror.
Immediately I called his attention, he dropped the mirror and came to attend to me. As he was giving me the things I wanted to buy, I was ruminating on what I thought I saw. I felt what I thought I saw was not real.
When he gave me the total price of what I bought, I jokingly shouted that he has finished my money. Then he replied, “na so naa, I dey make incantations, I dey pray, customers they come, no be so?”
I didn’t answer him. Anyway, he noticed that from that point, I became unusually cold towards him, so he kept quite too.
The word incantation kept ringing in my heart, I was then convinced that what I thought I saw when I came was real.
Immediately I left there, a question dropped in my “mind what is my secret and weapon? How serious am I with my own weapon as a child of God?”
This man felt that the secret behind having customers in his shop is to make incantation. He was so convinced about it that he didn’t mind saying it to my hearing.
I asked myself “Imagine that someone without a secret weapon is doing the same business with the in the same place , what will be that person fate? ”
Nobody is sitting on the fence these days. People are doing unimaginable things to succeed.
A question is coming to you today; child of God. What is your secret weapon in that business, marriage etc? Are you folding your arms, waiting for miracles to happen. But you have been given the weapon of prayer. Are we utilizing it?
This is wake up call that we should not be at ease in Zion. There is a miracle in our mouth. Let’s use it to fight the wiles of the wicked ones. They are prowling around, looking for who to pull down.
Let us pray!
