“And he unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
And Jesus said unto him, verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise” Luke 23:42-43.
In your own judgment, do you think that this man, who was sentenced to death for criminal activities deserve the kingdom of God? Jesus answered yes; without hesitation, in this situation.
Little wonder, it is written in the book of Isa 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, said the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”
He made another call in the book of Matt 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”
Remember that your sin is not greater than the grace of God. He has already assured you that His grace is sufficient unto you. All you need is to focus your attention on Him.
Jesus said,”As Moses lifted up the serpent….. so the son of man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life”
The snake-bitten Israelites were healed as long as they obeyed the instruction of Moses to look at the snake(Numbers 21:8-9)
They simply looked, as instructed. Some may have done it for unknown reasons. Some may have their doubts, but all who looked were saved.
Today is your turn to obey and heed the call. Repent and hand over your life to God. Fix your eyes on Jesus and watch him bring out the best in you. It is too early for anyone to conclude your case.
PEACE!!!
