Elder Femi had been thinking of how to really deal with Pastor. He felt that if he could have some of the financial pillars in the church, it would help him to achieve his aim. He decided to pay a visit to one of the church members called Ifeanyi. He was one of the men that God lifted miraculously through Pastor’s ministry. Mr. Ifeanyi was so excited to see elder Femi.

“Elder welcome sir. Wow! I’m surprised to see you. Thank you for coming.”

“Thank you my brother. This is part of our work as elders in the church. Especially now that Pastor doesn’t care for any one.

Visitation is one of the primary assignment of a man of God. But for our own pastor, the case is different. He doesn’t care for any one. Whether you come to church or not, he doesn’t care. If you like die and resurrect, that is your cup of tea. It doesn’t concern our pastor. In fact we need prayers. If we don’t pray that they transfer him, he will kill and bury the church.”

“Elder, I am surprised at the things you are saying. Our pastor visits. In fact, he always looks out for me and my family,” Ifeanyi informed him.

“Then there must be something he is looking for. Anyway, you are rich, so he is sure of a fat envelope whenever he visits. I was sick and I called Pastor on phone to come and pray for me. He told me that he was busy, he couldn’t come. I told him that he should just pray for me on phone but he told me that would get back to me.

Pastor never fulfilled that promise. He neither visited nor called on phone till I recovered. When I resumed church I asked why he didn’t come, Pastor told me that he was busy with the work of God. I was dumbfounded.”

“Are you not part of God’s work?”

“My brother, ask me again. God is using other pastors to lift their churches his own is to milk us dry. Look at what is happening in our neighboring church. The pastor owns a company so he gives employment to his members. If any of them have a challenge and meet him that problem is over. Even the church next to ours, the wife works in a reputable company. But for our own pastor the reverse is the case. He is looking for who will give him. If you don’t, you will become his enemy.

Examine the lives of our members and see how wretched we have become since he came.”

‘I must confess that my case is different. Since Pastor came, God has lifted me. I was a nobody when he was posted to this church. But look at me today. The prayers of the man of God has opened doors for me,” Mr. Ifeanyi told him.

My brother leave that thing. Don’t give the glory that belongs to God to a pastor. This the time that God want to bless you. Don’t connect Pastor to it.”

“The truth is that it will be difficult for me not to connect my breakthrough to Pastor. It happened in his time,” Ifeanyi insisted.

“It’s alright let’s not argue about that. I’m only surprised that Pastor is visiting you. I know that is because of money. This is the same money he said the source is suspicious.”

Ifeanyi was shocked.

“Elder, I don’t understand.”

“In church elders meeting, Pastor told us that he doubts that the source of your income is genuine. He even ask us to secretly investigate you. I opposed the idea. I told him that I trust you. That was my offence. Since that day, he is doing everything to pull me down. He said that I disrespected him.”

“Pastor cannot question the source of my wealth. He has been seriously praying and encouraging me. In fact he is so happy about what God is doing in my life. What you are telling me is like a breaking news.”

“Are you trying to tell me that I don’t know what I am saying, or I formulated the story? You can inquire from elder Gad to clear your doubt.”

“Sir, are you serious about what you are saying?”

“Of course, I am really serious. There are issues that one shouldn’t play with. This is one of such.”

“Could that be his reason for always visiting me? He is always enquiring about my business and praying for me. I thought he was genuinely interested in my welfare. Elder I am really hurt; Don’t you think that I should confront Pastor?”

“No! You will do no such thing. Just pretend that you don’t know what is going on but be vigilant. Don’t grant him access to your life again. We all need to come together, this is our church. He is the one that is a visitor.”
