Negative Touch (Episode 32)
Pastor please have mercy on me and pray for him. My husband is a good man. He was not involved in the fight against Pastor . I don’t know why this evil will befall him. The evil doers in this church decided to make my husband mad just because he loved our former pastor. Let God fight for me.”
When he finished talking, the guest minister faced the mad man.
“Oga, your wife said that you are innocent. Is it true?”
“Don’t mind the foolish woman. What does she know? I married her out of pity. Till today, I am still regretting the marriage. Can you imagine that a woman that I am living with in the house does not know my name. That shows the level of her stupidity. Pastor please, use your good office to permit me to introduce myself. My name is Friday, not Innocent, I am not Monday , not Tuesday, Not Wednesday. Anyway, let’s discuss man to man. Man of God, you are a good man. You ministry has blessed me. I have a testimony. Should I share it?”
The guest minister was just watching him without uttering any word.
“Pastor say something. Oh! You don’t want to talk. Whether you like it or not, you have already said something. I have gotten what I will tell elder Femi. You said that elder Femi is a bad person. Where is my phone? Help me and dial 080,090,081. Elder Femi come and take your call o. They said that you have died, but that is not my business. If you like be in hell fire. I will come there and deliver the message to you.”
“Of course that is God’s verdict. You will surely deliver that message in hell fire,” the guest minister told him.
He turned and faced Mrs. Friday “Madam have you seen the activities of your innocent husband. He pretends that he love the man of God, but he was just going near to get information. Even when the man of God did not tell him anything, he formulates things that the man of God never said. He attracted evil spirits to his life by telling lies against a man of God and now they are tormenting him. He is surely going to die. But be careful around him, so that he doesn’t kill you before he dies.”
Elder Adeola’s wife knelt at the altar bawling her eyes out. The Lord opened the ear of the man of God to the silent prayers she had made to God before she started weeping, so he asked him to get up. She quickly obeyed.
“Woman the Lord is seeing your tears. But unfortunately, judgment is set.” The guest minister told her.
“Man of God, please help me and plead with God to show my husband mercy. My husband suddenly turned deaf and dumb. I don’t know what the issue is. I took him to hospital but they said nothing is wrong with him. Many people are saying that it is spiritual attack. My husband has served God all his life. He served and served well. It is true that my husband is one of the elders of the church, but he didn’t fight the man of God. Is it possible that my husband is being punished with the evil doers? If that is the case, why? My husband is a good man.”
The guest minister stood still for a while looking at the woman. Then he said, “Your husband never fought the man of God but he neglected his duty. He is guilty of silence. He should have known that there are times that silence is not golden. He saw his colleagues oppressing an innocent man of God, yet he kept quiet. He did not rebuke them. God has a reason for sending him to that office, but he failed. He watched while things went wrong, yet he felt unconcerned. He knew that what some elders were doing was wrong but he didn’t want to say it so that they would not see him as a bad person. Since he failed to put the sense of speech and hearing that God gave to him to work, it was withdrawn from him.”
“Man of God, what is the way out!” the woman cried.
“Keep pleading for mercy on his behalf. Only mercy can speak for him.”
The death of elder Femi brought a halt to the death rampage The plague ceased and peace returned to the church.
