A Nigerian man who lives abroad wanted to build a house in one of the towns in the country. He informed his elder brother of his plans and told him to search for a land or even a house in an estate that they can demolish and put up an edifice.

He needed a land at centre of the town. His elder brother made inquiry, he couldn’t get an empty land so he gave him the estimation of buying a bungalow and also the cost of demolishing it.

All the money was sent to him. Instead of him to stand on the agreement with his younger brother, he went to a remote part of the town and bought a land.

His brother needed a four storey building of eight flats. An architect brought a quotation of the amount needed for the building of the house. When the quotation was sent, Yankee brother sent even more than the money that was needed.

Elder brother connived with the architect to buy sub standard materials for the building of the house. When the house was ready, he took a picture of it and sent to his brother.

His younger brother was so happy and poured out his heart in appreciation to his brother.

“I have seen the picture of the beautiful house you sent to me. I always tell people that I have the best brother in the whole wide world. You have proven it again, that I am right. I love and cherish you. When our parents were alive, I promised them that I will build house for them. Unfortunately, they died before I could fulfill that promise. Today, your are the only family I have, that is why I decided to transfer the promise to you. The house I asked you to build is yours. I will send money for you to pack into it. Also get tenants to occupy some of the flats so that you can be making money.”

Immediately elder brother heard that the house was for him, he fainted.

Please go and get your own bucket. We are still pouring water on him. Our target is to resuscitate him because he must live in that house and reap the fruit of his evil works.
