Mercy and Gina were coming back from lectures when they met Rose. She bursted into laughter and started mocking Gina.

“Our celebrity birthday girl. We are waiting for you o. I remember all that you said”

“Rose, what is the meaning of this?” Mercy asked in anger.

“Sister Mercy please, I did not talk to you o. I am talking to your celebrity friend. She promised us a birthday party. So we are waiting for it.”

“Don’t worry. I will surprise you,”Gina told her.

“I love positive surprises, ” Rose replied and left.

“Please don’t mind her. Don’t allow anyone to put unnecessary pressure on you.  It is true that you made a mistake, learn from it and move on. One good thing is that it will not repeat again”

“No. I did not make any mistakes. I only exercised my faith. When you want God to work, what you need to do is to exercise your faith. I have  done that; just watch and see what our God will do”

“Hmm! It is well o.  I will believe you with fear.” Mercy answered.

Gina started a 3 day dry fasting and prayer. She listed her prayer points.

1, God should make his uncle do whatever she wants him to do.

2, When she asks for money, her uncle should not ask her what she needs the money for.

When she concluded the prayer, she decided  to visit his uncle because he had earlier invited her to come over and take some money.

After exchanging pleasantries with her uncle, she quickly said a short prayer in her heart and launched into action.

“Uncle please, I need the sum of 500,000  naira very urgently.”

“What do you need it for?”

“Please forget about what I need it for . It’s not important,” Gina told her.

“It’s okay, let’s go to the house.”

Gina was so happy because her prayer was answered just the way she prayed it.  Immediately they entered her uncle’s compound,  he told his security personnel to lock the gate properly.

 “Gina come closer, what did you say that you need  money for?”

” But uncle, I told you not to bother yourself about what I need the money for. Just give it to me.”

Gina did not see it coming. It came so fast in a twinkle of an eye and everywhere turned black.

“Uncle, why did you slap me?” Gina cried out.

” I think the thing is cleared from your eyes, ” her uncle told her.  Afterwards, her uncle landed her another slap and she staggered and fell down.

“I think it has finally cleared from your eyes. Do you know where you are?”

“Uncle, what is the meaning of this naa? Why are you beating me like this?” Gina asked in anger.

“I asked, do you know where you are?”

“Of course. I am in your house?

“Do you remember what you told me?”

“Yes. I told you that I  needed  500, 000 naira.” Gina answered in tears.

“It means that you are not free yet,” her uncle said firmly.

Her Uncle’s wife came back  and met Gina crying. She demanded to know why she was crying.

“I don’t  know what fraudsters did to Gina. She came, asking me to give her a huge sum of money. When I asked her what she wanted to do with it, she refused to tell me.” her husband explained.

” That is not an issue.” his wife answered she dashed towards Gina and gave her two hot slaps . She was about to give her the 3rd one so Gina decided to act smartly before they killed her.

“Uncle, what is going on? Why is she slapping me?”

“Wait! Don’t touch her again. It’s like she has come back to her senses.” Her uncle told his wife. He turned to Gina.

“Gina, do you still need 500,000?”

“No! What I’m I doing with that huge sum of money?”

“I said that something was wrong. Do you remember the things that happened before you got to my office? Did anybody talk to you?”

“Yes. A man asked me a question. He was going to the next street after your office and I directed him . That is the only thing I can remember.” Gina lied.

Her Uncle’s wife knelt down and started thanking God.

“God I thank you. I worship you. Thank you for this deliverance. Thank you for not allowing them to carry her and go”

“If you see that man, can you recognize him?” Her uncle asked.

“I don’t know. My head is aching.”

Gina answered. Tears were flowing from her eyes.

“I am so sorry. My dear, please go and prepare food for her to eat. I will quickly go to the pharmacy to get drugs for her,” her uncle told his wife.

“Ah! If I did not act fast, these people would have killed me. Rose, it will never be well with you for putting me in this kind of stress. But no matter what happens, I must celebrate my birthday in a big way.” Gina murmured in her heart.
