Nnenna and Bob accompanied by some church members travelled to the village for the payment of the bride price and traditional wedding. They later returned to the city for their wedding.

Few days after the wedding , Bob told Nnenna that they needed to have a discussion.

“There have been something I wanted to discuss with you but I have been reluctant. You remember the affair we had in my house. I know you will remember vividly. I didn’t know what happened because I was under an influence. It was Mum that told me. Mum later told me that it resulted in pregnancy. She also told me that dad forced you to abort the pregnancy and you lost your womb. I’m telling you this so that you don’t start getting agitated if we experience delay in conception.”

“I am aware that I lost my womb,” Nnenna told him.

“Then there is no need to worry. Though we are serving a God of miracle . He has done greater things for us . He can also do this for us. Even if he choose not to do it; it shouldn’t be a problem. If you need a child so badly, you can adopt a girl.”

“Why not boy? Are you afraid of adopting Mr. Smith,” Nnenna joked.

” You better leave Mr. Smith alone. After all It was Mrs . Smith; your mother-in-law that caused everything.”

“I miss my mother-in-law.” Nnenna said in tears .

“Please don’t start this. Get up let’s take a walk.”

Two months after their wedding Nnenna became very sick . Her husband drove her to the hospital to get treatment . The doctor conducted some tests. The result showed that Nnenna was pregnant.

“Her husband could not contain his joy. Immediately the doctor broke the news , he shouted, “I’m going to be a father!”

“Take it easy dear” Nnenna cautioned.

“No I will not take it easy. I will announce it for the world to hear.”

Nnenna and his husband went to the shopping mall to pick some things. Nnenna complained that she doesn’t want to climb the stairs so she waited for her husband near their car.

Stanley came to the mall too with his mum. He sighted Nnenna and called for her.

“It’s that not my beauty Queen.”

“My able CEO . I remain loyal “Nnenna greeted. She went closer to greet his mum.

“Mummy good afternoon ma” she greeted.

“Good afternoon my daughter. It’s I like I know you?” Stanley’s mum told her.

“She is Nnenna. The lady I wanted to marry.” Stanley explained.

“Okay. How are you my daughter.”

“I’m fine ma.”

“Nnenna how is my co husband?” Stanley asked.

“He said that I should warm you to stay away from me,” Nnenna joked.

“He dare not.”Stanley replied with smiles.

We bought some fruits; do you care to have some?” Stanley offered.

“No. My husband warned me to stop collecting things from strangers.”

Bob came to meet them and shook hands with Stanley.

“The only man that has what it takes to win Queen Nnenna’s heart,” Stanley hailed him.

“My able rival that God did not allow to succeed.” Bob hailed him too.

“You two are something else” Nnenna said with smiles.

“Good afternoon ma,” Bob greeted Stanley’s mum.

” Good afternoon my well trained son, ” She responded.

“I offered your wife apple that I bought with my hard earned money. She told me she was told not to collect things from strangers.” Stanley complained to Bob.

“Don’t mind her, apple became a taboo for her since she became pregnant,” Bob explained.

“It is well my brother. Pregnancy journey is not easy . God will help her.”

When they left, Stanley’s mum asked him, ” That lady looked heavily pregnant. Is she not?”

” No it was pillow that was under her cloth,” Stanley snapped.

“Why are answering me like that. What is my offence?”

“I know you are surprised that she is pregnant. That is the same lady you declared barren.”

“Hmm! You got married few months before her. Yet your wife has not shown any sign of pregnancy. I hope it is not what I am thinking.”

“Mum please don’t start. We have already given you a grandchild.”

“But Bella is a girl”

” Does it matter? Mum please I beg you in the name of God don’t disturb my wife. Don’t force me to remember what you did concerning Nnenna .

I have taken everything that happened as the will of God . Thank God that I am happily married. Nnenna is happily married too as you can see.

You confronted and disgraced Nnenna but She hid it from me. You know my wife very well, she cannot hide such thing. If you ever disturb her and I hear it. You will not like the outcome.”

” Have you seen it? That is how a wife material behaves. That Nnenna is a wife material, that was why she did not tell you what I did. That was why God blessed her.”

Nnenna and her husband were also discussing as they drove home.

“Was that not the woman that called you barren?” Bob asked.

“My dear she is the one” Nnenna answered.

I wonder how she felt when saw you with pregnancy.”

“My dear, how she felt is her cup of tea, without bread. My joy is that God has taken away my reproach”

On the day of the delivery, The Doctors and Nurses were preparing for Caesarian Section (CS) because the scan showed that the baby was in a bridge position. However as they wheeled Nnenna into the theatre room, the baby started pushing out. Within few minutes she was delivered of a beautiful baby girl. One of the nurses on duty shouted ” This is a miracle baby . She brought good luck . Please call her Chioma.”

And that is the name of the baby till today.
Nnenna became pregnant again and gave birth to twin boys
